Cub Scouts Mask Design Competition!! Submissions due on Aug 9th!

Cub Scouts!

We have to be safe and wear a mask when around other people.  With that in mind, we will be making a custom mask for all cub scouts joining us for 2020-2021.  This is your opportunity to be creative and submit a design that would be put on the mask.  You have till end of day of Aug. 9th to submit your design in the Google photos link here.  After that we will have all of cub scouts vote on the design they like and the wining design will be used to create custom mask for our pack!

Extended rank advancement deadline approaching - Jul 31st!

As a reminder if you are still working on an advancement, the extended covid deadline for last school year's ranks is coming up July 31st.  If you and your scout have been working on a rank advancement make sure all the details are entered into Scoutbook or coordinate with your den leader.

GGAC Summer of Stem 2020

Our council has been at work preparing a series of online STEM activities to work on NOVA awards.  These are fun science themed awards for Wolves and up.  There are 4 different sessions for different Nova awards.  These will have an initial meeting as mentioned on the calendar with a follow up a few weeks later. The four Nova awards being offered are:

Virtual Cub Scouts Day Camp - Beneath the Sea

There was just a meeting with the council talking about the virtual cub scout day camp.  While this is new uncharted territory it looks like they are putting together a really fun plan.  There will be a "live" virtual opening and closing of the camp along with self paced or small group activities with videos to watch.  It also includes a bunch of materials for activities.  A little boat to build, backpack to color, food items for fake sushi as well as a t-shirt and patch.  It looks to be quite fun and if get more details I will add them.  Here is the official blurb:
